International Iron and Steel Association: October global crude steel production increased by 2.4%

 International Iron and Steel Institute (World Steel Association) 19 said Wednesday, Oct. global crude steel production increased by 2.4%, rest of the world output growth offset the decline of the Chinese.

Global crude steel output in October to about 118 million tons, about 115 million tons a year earlier. But the Chinese crude steel output fell 3.8%, to 5,030 tons.

October global crude steel capacity utilization in September from 74.8% to 75.4%, but 78.1% over the same period fell by 2.7 percentage points.
