US DOC levies anti dumping duty on stainless steel pipes imports from Vietnam
It
is reported that the US Department of Commerce reached a preliminary
conclusion identifying welded stainless steel pressure pipes exported
from Vietnam as being dumped into the US market.
The
final result is scheduled to be released on May 17th 2014. Industry
experts are warning that there would be no way for Vietnamese producers
to export steel products to the US in face of these additional charges.
The DOC has also imposed duties on companies in Malaysia and Thailand producing steel pressure pipes.
